Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNO): The Government of India on Wednesday informed the Lok Sabha that 284 students from Jammu and Kashmir have benefited under the INSPIRE programme during the last two years.
In a written reply, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, “Four beneficiaries from J&K were also supported under the NIDHI-PRAYAS scheme, while no beneficiary was recorded under the NIDHI Entrepreneur-in-Residence programme.”
He said that various science and technology schemes aimed at promoting research, innovation and entrepreneurship are open to applicants from all States and Union Territories, including J&K, through a proposal-based system—(KNO)
